Islamic Relief through its Emergency Medical and Food Assistance in Sri Lanka (i-EMAFAS) provided LKR 20 million worth of medical assistance to nine hospitals across the country where the project was funded by Islamic Relief USA. The medical assistance included essential medicines and medical equipment needed to treat patients in need. Islamic Relief worked closely with Ministry of Health and healthcare providers to identify the most pressing medical needs and develop targeted interventions that could make a real difference in people’s lives.

Through the Emergency Medical Assistance program, Islamic Relief is committed to helping hospitals and medical facilities access the medical supplies they need to provide quality healthcare to patients in Sri Lanka. And through this intervention, more than 3000 individuals benefitted across the country.
