Majeed Puram village in Trincomalee District is severely affected, with nearly all 80 families impacted by flooding of up to five feet, causing major damage to homes and livelihoods.

Islamic Relief is providing immediate support, including cash assistance, with a team working on the ground despite access challenges. With support from Islamic Relief UK and Islamic Relief Canada, assistance is being expanded to reach around 2,000 affected families.

Handed over LKR 20 million worth of medical equipment and medicine to 9 hospitals across Sri Lanka through Ministry of Health, Sri Lanka. Through this intervention, more than 3000 individuals benefitted across the country.
